Montana White, the dynamic Canadian artist formerly known as Patrick Alexander Boyd, is a multifaceted force in the music industry. Hailing from Winnipeg, MB, Montana White honed his musical prowess from a young age, laying down tracks in his mother’s basement alongside the late rapper Brooklyn (Winnipeg’s Most) during high school.

Embarking on his journey as “Pat Silva,” he founded the acclaimed “Grand Music Mafia” in 2010. The group garnered local acclaim, reaching new heights with their third album, “Grand Entrance” (2015), boasting sales of over 3,000 physical copies. Collaborations with industry heavyweights like Grammy-winning DJ Paul, ILL BILL, and Memphis Bleek solidified their presence. The pinnacle of their success led to a tour of western Canada with Stitches and Str8kash. However, artistic differences led to the disbandment of “Grand Music Mafia.”

In 2019, Pat boldly ventured into a solo career, adopting the persona of Montana White. Returning to his roots with a guitar in one hand and a beer in the other, he birthed Cobo Swag. The iconic “Simple Man” music video, directed by Stuey Kubrick, showcased Montana White’s musical evolution, earning recognition as one of Winnipeg’s finest.

With vocals reminiscent of the “Misfts” style, Montana White’s fusion of acoustic guitar beats by C-lance ignited his rise to prominence. 2021 marked a triumphant start with the release of “Wherever I May Roam,” a visually captivating music video featuring DTG (aka Lil Windex) and directed by Stuey Kubrick, amassing over 80k views in four days. Now, eagerly anticipating his upcoming debut solo album, featuring a collaboration with longtime friend Merkules, Montana White stands as a rising star in the music scene – an artist poised for enduring success. Keep a vigilant eye on this extraordinary talent!
